Cancellation policy

Standard Cancellation Window: Guests may cancel their booking up to 7 days prior to the scheduled check-in date with no charge.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival (including no-shows) will be charged the full booking amount.

Standard Check-Out Time: 10:00 am.
Late Check-Out: To ensure we can prepare the accommodation for incoming guests, late departures will incur a fee of AUD $50 per hour (or part thereof) after 10:00 am, unless prior arrangements have been agreed in writing.

⚖️ Legal Notes (Australia):

This type of cancellation policy is standard and enforceable under Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and hospitality practice, as long as it is clearly disclosed before the booking is made (on your website, Airbnb, Booking.com, or direct invoices).
The $50/hour late check-out fee is also enforceable, provided it is reasonable and proportionate to the actual loss (cleaning staff delays, new guest preparation). Most hotels/short-term rentals in Australia apply similar penalties.
To be fully compliant, you should also include a “Force Majeure / Unforeseen Circumstances” clause (e.g. natural disasters, government restrictions) allowing flexibility where required.
If listing on platforms like Airbnb/Booking.com, their cancellation frameworks may override your direct terms. On your own website/direct bookings, your terms apply.
